Phone sex: the real story

Wuud 6

Female students across the country are working as phone sex operators. To stay afloat, young girls are turning to controversial part time jobs to keep their bank managers at bay. But should young women be making a make a carnal connection for cash?
The rise in female students turning to passionate phone calls for a pay rise, was possibly triggered by the Channel 4 show ‘My Phone Sex Secrets’ which filmed raunchy conversations young women are having with strangers.
Although no data has been formally collated on the effects the show has had on financially struggling individuals, there are clues that strongly imply the show was responsible for the growing attraction into becoming a phone sex operator. I spoke to owner of one of the largest UK cased phone sex companies *Amanda, who stated:

”After the show was broadcasted, we were inundated with applications from young women, particularly students. The programme had obviously inspired girls to try their hand as a phone sex operator and since the show aired we are still sifting through hundreds of requests to join our operators!”

The notion of becoming a sex phone operator is more than a little frowned upon by particular social groups in society today, who actively express their contempt through social networking sites. An example of this is the Facebook group ‘ Step against phone love’, a predominately Muslim group where individuals opposed to the concept of phone sex can freely express their opinions.

Older women and particularly mothers are also expressing their disapproval through  with their own ‘People against phone sex lines’, where petitions are created to ban the phone sex industries and images of phone sex posters are shared and discussed.

We intend to discover the ins and outs of this profession and if the money is really worth it. Is paid dirty talk a chance to stimulate a generous cash flow instead of renewing over-draft limits every semester and to have some fun along the way? Or are steamy phone sessions essentially verbal prostitution and a job one would do well to keep under wraps? Our investigation intends to expose the realities of working as a phone sex operator and to find out who, what, why, where and how this taboo industry operates.
